We use our feet daily—walking, exercising, playing sports—so it’s not uncommon to hear of people suffering from foot pain. Any type of foot pain is worth getting checked out by our podiatrist, so schedule a consultation, and we can properly diagnose and treat any foot condition you may have.
About Foot Pain
If you have foot pain, it can be debilitating, forcing you to deviate from your normal routine. There are many different causes that can lead to foot pain so it’s best to make sure your podiatrist is aware of how you are feeling and if you did anything to cause it, or if the pain happened gradually over time.
The Causes
Foot pain comes in many different forms and conditions. You could have one or multiple ailments that lead to you not being able to properly use your feet, such as:
- Bunions, corns, or hammertoes
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Bone Spurs
- Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome
- Ingrown Toenails
- Arthritis
- Flat feet
- Specific injuries (stress fracture, broken toe, etc.)
Diagnosis
When you visit Alpine Foot Specialists, we will visually inspect the problem and possibly do some sensation tests. If the pain is severe, we’ll ask you to get some X-rays and maybe an MRI scan on the pain points. We’ll also ask for family medical history, your prior history, and any recent physical traumatic events that may have led to this pain.
Treatment
Once we figure out the cause of your pain, we will come up with a treatment plan to make sure you can heal properly and get back to your normal routine. If you have any questions during this time, don’t hesitate to ask us!
